OBJECTIVES
  • Identify the indications and efficacy of complementary interventions in the management of several pediatric conditions commonly seen in general office practice.
  • Review the current state of research and techniques used to study complementary medicine in pediatrics.
  • Develop a strategy to appropriately refer patients for treatment with complementary modalities when needed.
  • Assess the potential contributions of other forms of healing to total care of children.
  • Recognize the need for aggregated knowledge resources on pediatrics care.
  • Based on evidence, consider the need for educational efforts in cultural competency and public health as it relates to the wellness of children.
